OSU Tournament Corvallis OR, March 7, 2026

Over the weekend on March 7, Oregon State University held its annual tournament. Shipyard sent up two competitors, Channc and Sabrina. Also Coach Rob and Coach Clayton, as well as Kyle went along to support.

Channc fought in two divisions, the novice as well as fighting up into the brown/black belt division. He had eight matches in total, three in the novice and 5 in the advanced division. Channc won all three matches in the novice division and ended up taking first place. He went 2-3 in the advanced division including a match against an opponent they called out against him who wasn’t in his weight class.

Sabrina fought in the women’s black/brown belt division and had a total of four matches. She won them all and took first place. What was more impressive for both competitors is that they use each used a variety of techniques to win their respective matches.
