7th Pacific Northwest Judo Kata Championship Portland,OR November 11, 2023

On November 11, two of our members, Jake and Coach Clayton, competed in the 7th Annual Pacific Northwest Judo Kata Championship. Teams were there representing judo clubs from all around Oregon and Washington and included demonstrations of 5 of the 7 Judo kata (forms). Our team was competing in one of the self-defense kata, Kodokan Goshin Jutsu (Modern Forms of Kodokan Self Defense) and scheduled to compete second to last. After watching almost everyone else compete, our team stepped up and performed as well as they could. It ended up being enough and they were awarded first place.
